#Response DateOther (please specify)
.1/30/2008 1:40:00 PMcost of buisness
.1/30/2008 2:12:00 PMoveradvertising, and excess drug reps drive up costs
.1/30/2008 2:59:00 PMA good and fair information instead of advertising should not drive up health care costs.
.1/30/2008 3:11:00 PMCertain activities do - trips, bogus honoraria
.1/30/2008 3:37:00 PMI donot think so
.1/30/2008 4:20:00 PMIt depends on how it is done
.1/30/2008 6:31:00 PMyes
.1/30/2008 6:53:00 PMNot sure
.1/30/2008 7:02:00 PMTo some extent
.1/30/2008 7:40:00 PMIt depends on the type of advertising venue (e.g., TV ads may drive costs) It is better that TV ads be limited to disease state ads and DTC for OTCs, not Rx drugs
.1/30/2008 7:45:00 PMI don't know
.1/30/2008 8:13:00 PMI am uncertain about this point.
.1/30/2008 8:24:00 PMclearly drives up costs; unnecessarily is the hard part to figure - if there was no advertising, there would be little awareness
.1/30/2008 9:25:00 PMprobably
.1/31/2008 12:41:00 AMavoid TV or other magazines advertisement
.1/31/2008 2:49:00 AMNot necessarily - using non-generics yes; some other times -no; sometimes might save costs in our opinion
.1/31/2008 10:45:00 AMAs it is currently conducted
.1/31/2008 12:32:00 PMunclear
.1/31/2008 6:10:00 PMYes and no. Advertising is necessary but the costs could be reduced by different (cheaper) ways of advertising
.1/31/2008 6:40:00 PMI have no idea
.1/31/2008 7:01:00 PMNot unnecessarily - it is legitmate business practice. Many of the little guys must advertise or die out - overwhelmed by the giants. America is full of entrepeneurs and new businesses must market or perish. Failure to allow this would result in more control by the billion dollar pharma companies
.1/31/2008 9:20:00 PMthe word unnecessarily is a equivocal addition
.2/1/2008 5:09:00 PMit depends
.2/3/2008 10:05:00 AMSometimes- depends on what the focus and angle of advertising is
.2/3/2008 9:36:00 PMit may add to the cost, but it also gets useful information out to the people who need it
